Genevieve
Mendes Weaver
Attorney
“I found the area of personal injury law by chance. My godmother, Candis Trusty, Esq., and mentor in Miami, Florida introduced me to a fellow Clemson Alum, Alan Goldfarb, Esq. He is an amazing attorney, with experience in catastrophic personal injury cases. I worked with him as an intern while I was in law school, and then as an associate with his firm when I graduated, focusing on catastrophic plaintiffs’ injuries and wrongful death cases.
I knew from working with him, and seeing the difference that a trial attorney could make in someone’s life, that I had found my calling in personal injury cases.
My greatest rewards are what I am able to give back to my clients every day. In the beginning of the case, I can provide my client with hope – hope that there is someone in their corner, hope that we can push the insurance company to do the right thing, and hope that a better day for them is still in their future. Some of my happiest days at the office are the days of resolution and settlement for my clients. Helping them close a terrible chapter in their life can provide such relief and peace. I love going beyond the clients’ expectations, and seeing them move forward with their lives.“
Genevieve is originally from Florence, South Carolina. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Clemson University’s Calhoun Honors College and Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law. At the University of Miami, Genevieve participated in the school’s Litigation Skills Program where she was awarded two of the highest honors: The Thomas Ewald Memorial “Top Litigator” Award and The John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship Award. She has experience in texting and driving cases, automobile negligence, dog-bites, products liability, and premises liability. Genevieve joined the Clardy Law Firm team in April of 2014.
Genevieve lives in Greenville with her husband and their two daughters. In her spare time, Genevieve enjoys singing with the Westminster Presbyterian Church’s Chancel Choir, painting, and rooting for the Clemson Tigers.
